Laurie Underwood, M.A., LPC

Education & Experience

Ms. Underwood joined NCC as a Licensed Professional Counselor. She earned her undergraduate degree and her Master’s degree in Clinical & Counseling Psychology from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX.  Previously, Ms. Underwood worked in private practice where she specialized in family relationships, behavior modification, teen life coaching and child skills training.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Ms. Underwood has experience working with children and families with particular emphasis on correcting child behavior problems.  Ms. Underwood has helped many children who exhibit inattentive, impulsive and oppositional behaviors.  In addition to her therapeutic experience, Ms. Underwood has performed a wide variety of assessments. She worked with a multi-disciplinary team at the Farabee Regional MHMR Center in Texas.

Ms. Underwood lives in Longmont with her husband and two children.  She enjoys traveling to the mountains, decorating cakes and spending time with her husband and four daughters.
