Rebecca S. Shtulman, Ph.D.
Education & Experience
Dr. Shtulman is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Shtulman completed a pre-doctoral internship at Coatesville Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center and then a post doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, CA.
Dr. Shtulman specializes in neuropsychological and psychodiagnostic testing. She also has extensive experience conducting clinical interviews and providing cognitive and behavioral therapy. At Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, Dr. Shtulman assisted in the development of the treatment and behavioral management plans for her patients and served as a liason to a team of primary care physicians, psychiatrists, social workers and nurses. She also provided CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy) with patients challenged by depression, anxiety, psychotic disorders, TBI (traumatic brain injury), mood swings and adjustment problems.
Research
Dr. Shtulman also has a strong research background. She was part of a research team that studied the genetics of schizophrenia. She recently published her dissertation about caregivers of patients with psychosis and has been the lead author on presentations concerning psychologists in the primary care setting and the treatment of chronic pain.
Dr. Shtulman lives in Fort Collins with her husband and son. She enjoys cooking, hiking and SCUBA diving.
