Dr. Jennifer Barth
Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Barth earned her undergraduate degree from Colorado State University and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Barth completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Miami Mailman Center for Child Development.
Dr. Barth has extensive experience in the assessment of Autistic Spectrum Disorders and other developmental disabilities. In addition, she specializes in neuropsychological evaluations that assess for learning, attention, behavioral, and emotional concerns. Dr. Barth has experience consulting with parents and teachers to develop successful educational plans.
Dr. Barth is an experienced therapist and utilizes evidenced-based techniques to treat a variety of childhood difficulties including oppositional behavior, ADHD, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, learning disabilities, depression, and anxiety disorders. She utilizes a cognitive-behavioral approach that maximizes the strengths of the child and family. Dr. Barth also has experience using play therapy techniques to help young children.
Research
Dr. Barth's research interests include the development of prevention and early intervention programs. At the University of Miami, she contributed to the development of community based prevention programs targeting issues such as obesity, child abuse, and developmental delays. Dr. Barth was responsible for the daily oversight of these programs.
